Good value senior meals and meeting place

We had lunch with the Hotel Australia on Tuesday. I had garlic prawns with salad, whilst hubbie had lamb cutlets with chips and eggs (they took this request in their stride and delivered an excellent meal). My garlic prawns were yummy. We then had homemade apple crumble for dessert which was very nice. A very nice experience for a good price

Great dinner offering Gluten Free options such as the Chicken Parmi. (Seared chicken with ham, sauce and cheese with no crumb.) The seafood platter was delicious and very well presented. (Chips and salad included). Staff wonderful and friendly, and accommodating. Stone Grill is always a good option. Just great 👍

Had the roast pork special tonight. Delicious, with a great selection of veg too. Amazing value for money. Really nice dining area with genuine, friendly staff.

Exceptional parmas with really nice salad. On the Wednesday night (new years eve 2025) it was parma special night at $15 including trimmings, chips and salad, and enourmous. Best value for money meal I have had in years. Will be back!

Amazing Pub, great atmosphere, staff were lovely and was such a nice way to experience the town. i recommend coming and having a meal and a drink, environment was contagious and exactly what you’d want for a meal. really cute puppy as well that’s super friendly and welcomed the family

Great pub lots of locals. Friday arvo happy hours and raffles then out comes food snacks for every table fantastic..never seen before elsewhere. New fire pit out back. The Best $18 parmy in the country. Loved our stay in town and few stops here. Bar staff some friendly and a couple very basic. We will visit again..thank you

Stopped here with my partner for dinner and as soon as we walked in felt very relaxed and were acknowledged straight away but friendly staff. The steak was cooked exactly as we requested and Parma was spot on. It was nice to chat to staff about the history of the area. Being new to travel it was nice to be recommended places to see in the area. Will stop here again when we travel back. 10/10

I had the pleasure of visiting this lovely little town on a caravan trip. We took the opportunity to have a restaurant meal and chose the Australian Hotel. We were received warmly by all the staff and patrons alike. The beer was extremely cold and the menu was very extensive, as is the wine list. The new owner gets very involved and his efforts are reflected in the excellent service from his team. The pub is undergoing significant renovations but the dining room is unaffected and really comfortable. We went with their signature “Hot Stone” steak which you get to cook at the table. A thoroughly wonderful experience and nearby are 4 caravan parks and two free camp locations on the Mighty Murray. 5 Stars.
